Engineering Manager

Engineering ManagerIpswich, SuffolkTEC Partners are currently assisting a market leading manufacturing company in the search for an innovative Engineering Manager to lead a growing and developing Manufacturing team based in Suffolk.This company have developed a progressive reputation for their pioneering design and development which is increasingly growing through the strength of their manufacturing department. This is a key role within the business and one that will see you involved in a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including managing production, materials, projects, health & safety and all quality aspects of manufacturing.You'll also be responsible for implementing changes to increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes by managing timescales and improving project work flows.Skills/Responsibilities:Working closely with the site director to plan strategy and vision for the manufacturing department.Take full responsibility of the manufacturing department including, cost, performance, resource and deliveryTo generate Risk Assessments & Method Statements for the tasks undertaken by the engineers under their control & ensure that all staff undertake their duties in compliance with company policiesContribute to the ongoing development of the team through training and individual personal developmentEnsure all planned and unplanned maintenance is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.Consistently evaluate company efficient through relevant manufacturing processes to ensure profitabilityRegularly review departmental performance and recommend to Engineering GM / Operational ManagersMeet compliance on all legislative regulations, accreditation standards, company policiesRegularly monitor repairs expenditure and recommend solutions that provide the best value for money.Oversee the procurement of parts and manage stock levels.Act as a technical expert for the engineering team, ensuring that staff have the skills and knowledge required for their job function.Ideal Candidate:Minimum of a HNC in an Engineering disciplineManagerial qualification or relevant experience.National Diploma in Occupational Health & SafetyEnvironmental Management System ISO 14001 AwarenessExperience as a Engineering Manager in a similar field.Strong leadership skills.Team builder with the ability to train and oversee staff.Knowledgeable of optimising company profitability through evaluation of the manufacturing processes.If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience for this role, please apply and one of our consultants will be in touch
