The School of Engineering are looking for a full time, term time only Learning Assistant to support our students with practical activities in Plumbing.This exciting opportunity will allow the right individual to pass on their industry knowledge to students of all ages. This is a hands on role in our workshops, supervising and coaching students whilst assisting the tutors. If you have a real flair for passing your knowledge on to others, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to act as a role model, this could be just the job for you. You will support with the setup and preparation of classrooms, workshops, assessment areas and resources; working to ensure all equipment and stock is maintained and meets the needs of the students and industry requirements. You will be able to assist students with their practical work and impart your industry experience to further develop our student’s employability skills relevant to their career goals.The successful candidate should have current industry knowledge in Plumbing & Gas and ideally have qualifications at level 3.This is a full time, term time only position working 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. This will include working two late evenings starting in March 2021 based at our well-equipped industry specific Hemel Hempstead Campus.The closing date for applications is Friday 22 January 2021.
