JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description SummaryThe Installation and Balance of Plant Product Manager will own the overall strategy and process for Installation/BOP globally within the Land Constrained Product platform and ensure that the platform is optimized for installability and BOP. S/he will establish cost targets for all products, identify key levers to drive from today’s cost to the targets, coordinate with the cross functional team to achieve the targets, and measure and report progress. In addition, s/he will work with the design team to conduct trade-off assessments, provide installation/BOP input, and drive cross-functional engagement to minimize the installed cost.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Drive engagement with regional teams to incorporate local requirements for successful product launches by developing a standard process/standard work that will ensure installation readiness by region. Should be well documented, repeatable and have cross-functional buy-in.Create and maintain up to date view of current costs by model, by region, by subsystem; establish best-in-class should” cost and internal targetsCreate and execute an action plan to achieve cost targets; highlight gaps and develop/execute opportunities to closeDevelop business cases to prioritize product, tool, and capability developments to maximize value to GE and customersExplore new areas and technologies related to installation/BOP where GE can innovate or bring valueOwn and maintain the tooling & fixture databases to aide in appropriate project management of tooling development and deployment to regions on-time and within expected costs.Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 5 years of experience in Wind industryDesired CharacteristicsDeep expertise in wind installation and/or BOP construction managementDemonstrated ability to form strong cross - functional relationships and align stakeholders around a common goalStrong project management experience, leading cross-functional, global projectsAbility to distill large amounts of information and effectively communicate key messagesSelf - starter, highly motivated, innovative and creative thinkerProven analytical skill set and strategic mind - set, ability to quickly move from details to the holistic view and vice versaAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes
